Weather

Long, dry summers along Croatia's Adriatic coast are typical, with mean temperatures of between 24°C and 26°C. Winters are mild.

In north eastern Croatia, winters are cold with a fair amount of snow, however summers in this part of Croatia are hot with a mean temperature of around 22°C.

Main resorts & attractions settlements

Zagreb and Split are two of Croatia's cities built on the remains of ancient Roman settlements.

The medieval old city in Dubrovnik in southern Croatia has remained unchanged over the years and is now one of Croatia's top holiday destinations. The town also boasts great beaches and a fabulous coastline.

On Croatia's Dalmatian coast, Split's old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The summer months are especially lively in this part of Croatia due to the many festivals held here.

Activities whilst holidaying in Croatia include sailing, rafting, sea kayaking and hiking.
